St Petersburg, Florida
This St. Petersburg, Florida project was a special one for us, and we were honored to create it with our client. We traveled to New York and throughout Europe to source luxury pieces that felt layered, timeless, and personal to the home. In the kitchen, we used custom inset cabinetry throughout, paired with natural stone including marble and quartz sourced from Brazil and Italy. The main kitchen feels bright and calm with soft white cabinetry, warm wood details, polished metal pendants, and stone that gives the space an elevated but easy feeling.
A lot of the furniture and millwork in this home was custom designed, which allowed every room to feel thoughtful and unique. We mixed materials in a way that kept the home interesting, from metal mesh cabinet fronts to richly layered textures, tailored upholstery, built in shelving, and statement lighting. The entry and upper hall create a strong architectural moment with a dramatic hanging fixture and clean black railing, while spaces like the living room and office bring in warmth, pattern, and personality through custom details, collected objects, and views of the palms outside.
One of our favorite parts of the project was the contrast between the front of house and back of house spaces. The front of house kitchen is neutral, polished, and welcoming, while the darker scullery and utility spaces bring in a more moody and unexpected side of the design. That mix continues throughout the home, from the graphic stone floor in the laundry room to the bold wallpaper and marble wrapped arched shower in the bathroom. The result is a home that feels luxurious and custom, but also warm, livable, and full of character and definitely, not typical Florida.
