Collected Waterfront
St Petersburg, Florida

Collected Waterfront is a St. Petersburg home designed closely with our client to feel personal, layered, and lasting. Much of the furniture and millwork was custom designed by the studio, and the remaining pieces were sourced on trips to New York and across Europe, so each room carries its own character while belonging to the same whole.

The design relies on a mix of materials to keep the eye moving: metal mesh cabinet fronts, built in shelving, tailored upholstery, layered textiles, and statement lighting. The entry and upper hall set the tone with a dramatic suspended fixture and a clean black railing that reads as a single architectural line. The living room and office are warmer and more personal, layered with collected objects and custom details and framed by views of the palms outside.

The contrast between front of house and back of house spaces is one of the defining ideas of the project. The main kitchen is bright and calm, with custom inset cabinetry in soft white finishes, warm wood details, and polished metal pendants, finished with natural marble and quartz sourced from Brazil and Italy. Step into the scullery and utility spaces and the mood shifts to a darker, moodier palette that feels intentional rather than secondary.

That balance of polished and bold continues throughout. The laundry room has a graphic stone floor, and the bathroom pairs a bold wallpaper with an arched shower wrapped in marble. The result is a highly customized home that stays warm and livable, and a clear departure from the typical Florida interior. See the home in our sneak peek tour with our friends at ASG Tampa.
