New York In Jakarta
The St Regis Residences, Jakarta, Indonesia
New York in Jakarta is a three bedroom, four bathroom residence at The St. Regis Residences in Jakarta’s Central Business District, designed for the international buyers drawn to Indonesia’s most prestigious addresses. Designs by Human worked closely with the St. Regis brand and in collaboration with Vinoti Living and Vilato to bring a New York sensibility to the Jakarta skyline, pairing the polish of a Manhattan residence with the scale and warmth expected by buyers in the region.
The design was built around custom work. All millwork was designed by the studio and made specifically for the residence, with storage integrated throughout to make the most of every room without sacrificing clean lines. Every piece of furniture was also designed by Designs by Human and made for this apartment. The collection has since become the New York Furniture Collection, a line produced with Vinoti Living.
Rather than the white and beige palette typical of show units, the residence uses color, texture, and a clear design narrative to stand apart. The approach worked, and the residences sold quickly after launch.
The residence has since hosted well known Indonesian personalities including Boy William, Airyn Tanu, and Indra Brasco and Mona Ratuliu, along with a range of special events for The St. Regis Jakarta.
Questions and Answers
What does a luxury show unit need to sell to international buyers?
